Player seems to work well. There are some delays between the highlighting of the words and when you should actually be singing them. Biggest negative is that the disc automatically starts playing on track 1. It should just stop when ready to let you pick track number. This is confusing to some karaoke singers in the crowd.
All discs seem to play fine. Automatically starts on track 1. Not as powerful as our last three systems we ordered. Have to turn the voices way down to get the music to be loud enough.

It's worth the money.

For what you pay its not a bad machine. A lot of the functions only work with video disks. So if you have cd+g then you have a lot of pretty buttons that don't do squat.....all in all its not a bad home machine.

Very happy with the overall quality and ease of operation. Only problem was MP4 videos did not have audio when played through usb.
So I just converted the files to mpg format and solved that problem.

Vocopro DVX-890K MY CHOICE

This is the second DVX-890K unit that I have bought. The first I use in my professional Western/Cowboy show and it delivers great graphics and sound. It is a dependable, easy to use multi-use unit that is very reasonably priced. The second unit I bought was to use in the music system upgrade at my local Church. I know it will provide the kind of use and service for Church members that I have experienced using it in my show.

the vocopro is great but the 10 free music disc is a bust. they say they are randomly chosing but I requested 8 free songs of r&b and soul music, not only did I not get my 8 free songs of my choice but all 10 disc were rock and country music, none of which I or my family listen to or know anything about. I still had to go to the store and buy more music before I could ever use it

Mine did not work with my tv because there was a delay in my voice. I called vocopro and they said that was very common as tvs have a delay built in. Then how can you use tv as monitor for karaoke. They suggested seperate speakers but still may be a delay with video or a new tv without a delay. i would like to have known that beforehand. Ace tech was not helpful and was actually very curt when answering my questions. Also the discription does not say it comes with a mic so I ordered a mic and cable, but it actually came with two mics and cables. I emailed Ace and have not heard back.
Merchant Response:The answer VocoPro has provided correct. The audio processing in most TV's these days will cause a delay. Most TV's will a setting to disable audio processing. If that setting is not available in your TV, you will need to separate the audio and use the TV only as a monitor.
