I have purchased 4 Magic Sing karaoke machines in the past 5 years. We live in Bolivia and every time I buy a machine and extra chips for US, we end up selling it or giving it to family in Bolivia, and buying a new one "for us" on our next trip to California.

-As time goes by, seems like song chips have fewer and fewer songs, yet the price of the chips remains the same.
-some song numbers are duplicated across chips (for different songs) but this is easily overcome by on-screen selection of the song you really want. An inconvenience, but not a deal-breaker.
-Sometimes the same song appears on two different chips, with different song numbers. Again, not a deal-breaker, and the chip makers probably figure it helps people buy a chip with the "right" mix of songs they want. For those of us who have most or all of the chips, this results in "paying for the same song twice or more".
